The Perfect Drop For Summer Sessions
After a long day on the boat or the beach, Jervis Bay’s award-winning 11 Days Pale Ale is a nice dry beer that won’t assault your senses. Bright and approachable, it’s also the perfect drop to accompany many a long summer day spent on the white sands of Jervis – or any beach for that matter. Crisp and refreshing, with subtle notes of passionfruit and a dry finish, this easy-drinking classic has fast become one of this NSW South Coast brewery’s most popular drops. In fact it has just picked up a gold medal at the Independent Brewery Awards, aka the Indies, after competing with 236 other pale ales from across the country.
There’s a story behind every beer, so why 11 Days?
While the blue and yellow label reflects the sun and sea of its coastal environment, this pale ale gets its name from a tale about a vessel called ‘The Nancy’, shipwrecked off the coast of Jervis Bay in 1805. Apparently the crew spent the next 11 days walking through the wilderness, back home to Sydney. Who wouldn’t want a nice cold pale ale after an 11 day trek!?

That inspiration now comes through in a beer that features refreshing Strata, Amarillo, and Northern Brewer hops. Nothing super strong or over-bitter, just crisp and refreshing. It’s a sessionable beer meant for beer gardens, or a barbie in your own garden.
Everything at JBBCo is also created with sustainability in mind. While they keep a close eye on creating amazing beer, they also take care of their amazing environment, and the community that lives in the bay. That means brewing as sustainably as possible, using heat storage and solar panels. Only three years in, they have just opened a new manufacturing site across the road from the original taproom and are in the process of building an artificial wetlands where water used in the production process will be re-used in the cleaning process of the brewery.
They are also in the process of being certified carbon neutral and applying for B Corp certification. While they and their 30 staff have had a regional focus, JBBCo is now moving into metro and while it won’t take 11 Days for you to earn a beer; you can easily taste an 11 Days Pale Ale today.
